New Delhi, June 11: Sandeep Dixit, who is a former Congress leader said on Sunday that Army Chief should not use language which is equivalent to the language use by street goons. Sandeep Dixit said Army Chief as Sadak Ka Gunda on his response to Pakistani Army chief.
Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on the statement of Pakistani Army Chief Qamar Bajwa that Pakistan will provide consistent support to Kashmiri people in their struggle said that “Pakistani Army is notorious for its abuse of power and derogatory language for its adversaries. Indians are known for their behaviour and they should not imitate their counterparts.”
As usual the statement draws the attention of Bhartiya Janata Party. BJP said that it is the habit of Congress Party leaders to say wrong words for right people. They added that Rahul Gandhi earlier has used the statement ‘khoon ki dalali’ for Army. Now another leader is accusing Army chief as sadak ka gunda. The party not only ask apology of Sandeep Dixit but also from Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi.
But Mr. Dixit apologized later for his wrong comment and tweeted “I absolutely regret the statements made by me earlier in the day. I apologise for the same.”
