New Delhi, May 22: Defence and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley files Defamation case against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after the remark of ‘crook’ from his lawyer Ram Jethmalani.
According to our sources, Arun Jaitley has again filed Rs 10 crore defamation case against the crook remark of Ram Jethmalani who is the lawyer of Arvind Kejriwal. One defamation case is already going on against Delhi Chief Minister. This time the case is filed against Kejriwal and five other Aaam Aadmi party leaders.
On the hearing of first defamation case against Kejriwal on 17 May 2017, Delhi High Court witnessed a fierce verbal exchange between Jaitley and lawyer Jethmalani. The verbal exchange become more aggressive when Jethmalani said “I intend to show that this man (Jaitley) is a crook.”
The matter become more worse when Jaitley ask the lawyer whether the word ‘crook’ used is in his personal capacity or on the urge of his client. Jethmalani clearly said that it was used by him on the instruction of his client.
Earlier in December 2015, Jaitley files defamation case against Arvind Kejriwal and some other AAP leaders including Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpayee. He claimed that they have made false and defamatory in the case involving DDCA. In this case also, Jaitley ask for 10 crores.
