New Delhi, May 27: Today, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met PM Narendra Modi over lunch. The lunch was organised in honor of Mauritian PM Anerood Jugnauth. On lunch, Nitish Kumar just have a brief talk with Prime Minister Modi in which he discusses the issues of state of Bihar.
After the lunch was over, Nitish Kumar addresses the media and told that meeting was very brief and discussion was done on the various issues and problems that Bihar is facing. It’s not political at all.
He further said that ” If a Chief Minister meets PM, there are lots of speculation, however in reality the lunch was in honor of Mauritian Prime Minister.”
“In the upcoming Monsoon, we have taken precautionary measures against floods. But still, no stone should be left unturned. I told the Prime Minister that team of specialists should be sent for the silt management work,” Nitish said.
“As the CM of Bihar, it is my duty to raise the issues faced by my state. That was the reason behind my meeting with the PM,” he added.
When asked about the allegations put on his political alliance party’s leader Lalu Yadav, he said “he will comment on the basis of facts rather than just on allegations.”
