Saina Nehwal beats Thailand Ratchanok Intanon by 17-21, 21-18, 21-12 in Indonesia SSP. Ashwini Ponnappa and Sumeeth Reddy lost their match in mixed doubles

Indonesia, June 13: After recovering from injury, Indian Badminton player Saina Nehwal made her come back with a win. Saina Nehwal beats Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand in her first match in Indonesia SSP (Super Series Premier). She defeated  Intanon by 17-21, 21-18, 21-12 and move to 2nd round of the game.

The match was quite interesting and full of twist. In initial time of the game, Saina was ahead of her opponent. However Intanon make a comeback and won the first round with 17-21.

In the second round, Saina Nehwal keep her lead from the starting if the game. It also came a time when  was like that Saina again will lose her lead, however she maintain the lead and won the second round successfully.

Now the match reaches to third round to decide who will won. In the third round as well she maintained her position. Intanon, the number eight badminton player was not able to do a come back and Saina won the round by 21-12. On the other hand India’s Ashwini Ponnappa and Sumeeth Reddy lost to Irfan Fadhila and Weni Anggraini 21-12, 21-9 in the first round of the mixed doubles.
