There is nothing Erroneous with the Muslim reciting ruqyah for himself. That may be permissible; in fact it is an effective Sunnah, with the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited ruqyah for himself, and several of his Companions recited ruqyah for them selves.
